ISA advances technical competence by connecting the automation community to achieve operational excellence. The organization develops widely used global standards, certifies industry professionals, provides education and training, publishes books and technical articles, hosts conferences and exhibits and provides networking and career development programmes for its 40,000 members and 400,000 customers around the world.
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has launched ISA Student Section at JSSATEN on 21st September 2021. A student section is a group of student members formed in colleges, universities, institutions, and similarly organized training centers.
Each student section operates as an official ISA affiliate as per the charter agreement that defines the relationship between the Society and the student section. Hosting an internationally recognised student section of a professional society improves the visibility of the instituition in the national and global level.

The objectives of ISA Student section is to conduct the following activities:
Technology Talks – Industry, Academia, Consultants – on current trends
Collaborative Events.

By becoming an ISA member, a student will benefit-in technical knowledge, career and skills development, shared experiences and successes, and lasting friendship and belonging-from an association that has represented the needs and interests of automation and control professionals since its inception in 1945.
This will also improve leadership skill and provide a non-academic focus for students and a window into the automation field. Organizing events and activities which benefit JSSATEN student fraternity, it provides networking opportunities, and promotes leadership in the student body.
Faculty advisor and other faculty members get the benefit of publishing their research articles, attend various conferences and seminars conducted by automation industries. This will help them in relating the theoretical aspects which they deliver to practical concepts deployed in the industries.
